Once proper containment is in place and control of the air is maintained, mold can be addressed. If carpet, drywall, wallpaper and insulation has mold growing on it, it’s  going to need to be removed. The affected material is removed from its location and is then properly bagged.

Those bags need to be properly handled to ensure that mold is not carried out of the containment area and allowed to spread into the air and onto other unaffected materials.

Once all mold affected material has been removed, all of the surrounding areas can be cleaned and HEPA vacuumed to ensure all of the mold spores have been removed.
